New Year's resolution
Inspired by the sight of a new calendar, we vow to do better during the coming year. We resolve to break a bad habit (to stop overeating, to stop going to bed so late) or to build a good habit (to be a better listener, to exercise more). All too often we find that the force and momentum of our old habits soon overcome our best intentions.
We hope to replace our bad habits with good ones, or at least better ones. But what about habit itself? The dictionary defines habit as "an unconscious pattern of behavior." Habits are personal software programs that allow us to live most of our life on auto-pilot. These software programs were written many years ago and often were installed by other people (known as parents). It makes sense that our software might require an upgrade for us to function at our best.
But here's a deeper reason to look at our habits. Buddha, Jesus and many other spiritual teachers taught that we need to wake up from an unconscious, habit-driven way of living to become fully-conscious free human beings. Jesus advised against "pouring new wine into old wine skins." In other words, don't process new life experiences with outdated thought patterns. When people asked Buddha if he was divine, he said simply, "I am one who has awakened."
Years ago I decided to only have one New Year's resolution each year (the most challenging and rewarding one I could imagine): to live each day consciously and creatively. I found that focusing on living each moment with awareness has allowed me to respond to life more authentically and more successfully.
How does it work? Instead of focusing on individual habits I focus on staying conscious throughout the day. Instead of dieting, I eat with awareness. Instead of an ambitious new exercise regimen or early-to-bed resolutions, I listen to my body's needs and respond to them. Instead of trying to "be more considerate," I aim to be more conscious in all my relationships.
So this year, why not break the ultimate habit -- the habit of living from habit. Although good habits are better than bad ones and being completely free of habits isn't a realistic goal, we can all experience more freedom and renewed excitement about our lives if we free ourselves from the dictatorship of our habits.
The key to living consciously instead of sleep-walking through life is to pay attention to what you are saying to yourself at each moment: your "Inner Talk." Examining your Inner Talk gives you access to the software that's been running your life. You can decide what to keep and what to change. The good news is you are not a prisoner of your past conditioning. You can choose new Inner Talk based on your true values and your life purpose.
If conscious and creative living is your ultimate goal, why not use daily life as practice? Approaching each moment as fresh and new will keep your mind sharper, your body healthier and your heart happier. When new Inner Talk flows through the neurons and synapses of your brain, old habit patterns start to dissolve automatically. Each day is more exciting and filled with new potential when you approach it with "beginner's mind." You begin to live in the paradise of the present moment.
Best wishes for a conscious and creative New Year!

Every moment is a moment
Feel this as you are walking. Each step can be invigorated with a sense of newness. Can you be surprised by the taste of an orange or a sip of tea? Can you make spaghetti sauce as if it were the first time, although you've made it a thousand times before?
One of my favorite Zen stories is about a man who was chased by a ferocious tiger. The man ran to the edge of a cliff where he grabbed hold of a vine and swung himself over the side. Still hanging from the vine, he breathed a deep sigh of relief, thinking he was saved.
But looking up, he saw the tiger waiting for him. Looking down into the ravine below, he saw another tiger waiting for him. He looked around and saw two tiny mice begin to chew away at the vine.
Growing on the side of the cliff next to him was a beautiful ripe strawberry. He could smell its fragrance. It looked like a jewel glinting in the sunshine. Reaching out, he gently picked it and took a small bite, savoring its essence. How sweet it tasted!
What freedom this story conveys! Although the man is in a terrible situation, he is undaunted. Glimmering in front of him is a strawberry, and he eats it as if he had no other care in the world.

Basho (17th century)
In this poem, Basho celebrates the clarity of a moment just as it is. In the kitchen there are thousands of such moments.
As cooks, we know the great delight of savoring our food. Sometimes we taste a small bite of something and chew it carefully, feeling its texture and exploring its taste.
When we smell something delicious, our mouths water. Our sense of smell helps us extract the invisible essence of things. Ginger, chili, basil, mint - we recognize these and a thousand other smells instantly.
We feel the size, shape, temperature, weight, and texture of things. Eyes closed, we can know the difference between an apple and an orange, a wooden spoon and a metal one.
Our very substance, every cell, every nerve fiber, is built to respond to the world around us. We receive the world through our senses, through the textures and aromas of life.

Copywriting Tips For a Profitable New Year
After you have written copy for a while the words just seem to flow, that is an art. The scientific side of copywriting can be expressed in 10 simple copywriting tips.
1.) Create a Killer Headline.
This is the most important part of your copy. Great headlines are responsible for 80% of your sales.
2.) Write from the proper point of view
When you are creating your sales copy one of the best copywriting tips is to write from a customer’s point of view. Try to put yourself in their shoes. What would excite you about the product or service?
3.) Write about benefits, not features.
The average customer could care less about all of the bells and whistles that your product might feature. What they are really concerned with is quite simple. All that they are concerned with is how your product or service can benefit them. Period.
4.) Read your copy out loud.
Ok this might sound silly but trust me and give it a try. This is honestly one of the best copywriting tips you will learn. You want your copy to sound right and flow smoothly. Reading your copy aloud will help you identify parts that may not flow as smoothly or sound as good as you thought they might.
5.) Proofread
When your copy is complete read it over yourself and fix any problems that might arise, but do not stop there. One of the best copywriting tips is to have a friend or family member proofread it as well. They will most likely pick up on anything that you have missed.
6.) Keep it personal
You want everyone who reads your copy to feel like you are talking only to them. Keep your copy personal. Instead of statements such as “We give you” you might try something more like “Let me give you”, or “I want to give you.”
7.) Be specific.
This is one of the most powerful copywriting tips. Be specific, especially in headlines. A headline that reads “Stop smoking quickly and easily” might be somewhat interesting, but compare it to “Stop smoking in less than 14 days.” Which do you think would pique the interest of a prospective customer more?
8.) The KISS Theory
Keep It Simple…Stupid. I really do not know where this theory began but it has been around for years and it makes it into my 10 copywriting tips because it is true. Keep technical jargon and industry speak out of your copy. Potential customers want to read something that is easily understandable.
9.) Make an offer above the fold
What does that mean? The term “above the fold” means that the offer is visible without using the scroll bar. In fact you might want to space out a number of “call to action” buttons or links throughout your copy. Make it as easy as possible for the customer to order.
10.) Include testimonials.
Never under estimate the power a reference. The testimonial is a very powerful selling tool. Remember that what others say about your product, service, or company is exponentially more powerful than anything that you can say about it yourself.
There you have it, 10 super easy copywriting tips that can lead to a profitable future. Use these copywriting tips to improve your skills, increase conversions, and grow your business.

To learn the art of diapering your baby, you should be prepared to be faced with same nasty stuff. Baby pooh is a main reason why fathers tend to leave diapering a baby to the mothers. You should always empty your diaper bin each day in order to prevent the growth of bacteria. The more you get involved in sincerely willing to learn diapering your baby, the better you will get at it, especially after the first baby.
Cribs are the most attributed cause of infant deaths in America. When you go looking for a crib, you should ensure that it has slats that are no more than 23/8 inches to ensure that a new born does not slip through. You must select your baby's crib with the utmost care to ensure that no complications arise.

Fallen soldiers mourned - 1
“They all believed in the mission that they were committed to,” said Canadian Brig-Gen. Denis Thompson, commander of NATO forces in Kandahar province. “They proved this every day, by putting their lives on the line.” Hamilton, who had served in Haiti as well as twice before in Afghanistan, was the first person to step forward when a job needed to be done, Thompson said. “His first love was his daughter. She was his pride and joy,” Thompson said. “Hammy was an outdoorsman, he loved to hunt and fish and to barbecue.” Curwin was the “quintessential family man,” Thompson said. “He was a dedicated dad to his three children and he always said that his wife . . . was his best friend.” Jones loved to learn and frequently volunteered for courses, Thompson said. Jones “was a friendly Newfoundlander who loved to play his guitar and drive his pickup truck. His buddies say Jonesie was one of the kindest persons you’ll ever meet.”
The three were killed, and one other soldier seriously injured, while on a quick-reaction team investigating a report that an IED was being placed on the highway west of Kandahar city. It was that bomb that cost them their lives. The injured soldier was in fair condition Sunday. “We have killed them because they are our enemies,” said Taliban spokesman Qari Yousuf Ahmadi. “We suggested the Canadian troops leave Afghanistan but they did not heed, so let them fight with us and see the casualties. We will carry out more attacks and IEDs against them.” The ramp ceremony to say farewell to the soldiers was delayed by a series of Taliban rocket attacks on the base. If the rockets were meant to prevent the ceremony from taking place, they failed, Thompson said. “We still sent our brothers home with the dignity they deserved,” Thompson said. In just over a week, insurgent IEDs have killed six Canadians, and seriously wounded two more, one of them a soldier on foot patrol who lost his lower legs. A Canadian armoured vehicle was struck by another IED on Thursday evening, but no one was injured. In the past two months, a half-dozen of the bombs have been discovered on the 17-kilometre stretch of road between Kandahar City and Kandahar Airfield, a route on which IED emplacements were previously uncommon.

The Art
Traditionally, the term art was used to refer to any skill or mastery. This conception changed during the Romantic period, when art came to be seen as "a special faculty of the human mind to be classified with religion and science". Generally, art is a human activity, made with the intention of stimulating thoughts and emotions.

Way for safer Diwali
Take care of sparklers, if possible wear gloves to hold them and dispose of sparklers in a bucket of water as soon as they are finished. Never give sparklers to children under five years old
Keep out the crackers from the place of fire or other immensely hot object.
Use them one at a time, replacing the lid immediately
NEVER throw fireworks
NEVER put fireworks in your pocket
Read the instructions carefully, using a torch. NEVER use a naked flame
Light fireworks at arm’s length using a taper or a firework lighter
Stand well back and NEVER return to a firework after it has been lit - it could explode in your face
All about DIWALI

Deepavali or Diwali is the major Indian occasion, which is celebrated whole-heartedly in Hinduism, Sikhism and Jainism. It is also called 'Festival of Lights' as people illuminate candles, diyas on this day and celebrates the victory of good over wicked powers. The day is celebrated in throughout the world, where in nepal it is called Tihar and Swanti. It falls in the months of October or November. Diwali is also originated as the harvest day where it is considered as the last harvest time of the year before the starting of winter season. Businessmen close their accounts and start their new financial year. Therefore, Goddess Lakshmi, deity of wealth and prosperity in the Hinduism, is thanked and people offer their praying and wish to have a good year ahead.
In North India, the day marks the homecoming of Lord Ram to his kingdom Ayodhya after the 14 years of exile. People of his kingdom celebrated his home return by lightning thousands of diyas, therefore the day has been named as 'Deepavali', which is again shortened as 'Diwali'. In the southern part of the India, the day has been associated with the victory of Lord Krishna and defeat of demon Narakasura. The western people celebrate the day in the honor of the King Bali who has been ordered by the deity Vishnu to rule the nether world.
For the Jainism people, the day has been connoted with the nirvana of Lord Mahavir, which took place on 15th October 527 B.C. For the Sikh community, the importance of the day has been increased when their Guru Hargobind Ji, the 6th Guru, has been released from the imprisonment with 52 Hindu Kings. Overall, the Diwali calls for the worldwide celebration, with its shimmering beauty it is enjoyed by most of the people, regardless of their faith and culture.
Awaiting for the Day

A true friend is the one who truly likes you and knows you, is the one who sees the pain in your eyes while everyone else still believes in the smile on your face. Life has gone with so many changes; we have left behind so many memories. Those memories when recollected leave tears. Would those days return? Would those friends be met? They are busy working towards their goals. Where have those days gone? Time is too strong! Missing you all my dear friends! Hope we all meet again one day in our life! Waiting eagerly for those days to come.

The Charm of Antique Jewellery

The word antique is an object that represents a previous era. Antiques are usually which have an aesthetic value owing to craftsmanship. And what cancan be more beautiful and elegant than jewelery crafted twenty or twenty five years ago? The art of making jewels is ancient and even the periods can be guessed by looking at the design. In other words, such jewels speak history. Generally treasured as heirlooms, antique ornaments are now available to those who covet them thanks to jewelery marts. Artistically crafted they are a glorious blend of tradition and trends. Antique jewelery has really caught the imagination of both the wear of all age groups and the creator. From chains to bangles and earing, older the piece the better, simply old is gold.

Nature

It’s nothing to overcome a nature, which really gives a great pleasure to feel the nature. Once you spend some time outside in nature, it almost definitely becomes something that you want to conserve. All that beautiful scenery, the smells, and the sounds become a necessity. Listening to the sounds of nature on my patio, the cicadas, the crickets, the thunderstorms, and the birds talking to each other, is almost overwhelming. These are the sounds that bring an inner calm. The sounds that remind me of what really matters. Sometimes when I'm in need of the calming sounds of nature it's difficult to access them. If I'm traveling, in the bus, or at the college, nature seems far at hand. Bottling those sounds is easier than you think. Nature brings out the refreshing energy at each time whenever need. Whatever problem we have problems just sit out to the corner of the window and watch the sunset or birds that flies with lots of energy or the trees that dances in the air. Thus the nature god’s gift is purely for the enjoyment, to relax, to refresh our minds, and also to preserve.
Cell becoming Hell
There are many dangers and myths involved in cell phone usage. The notion of purchasing a cell phone comes equipped with a load of questions and concerns, from whether or not utilizing a cell phone causes cancer to some more absurd and specific claims. The idea behind the danger of cell phones is certainly reasonable, but some of the lengths that this mythology can stretch to can be quite ridiculous.
One absurdity concerning cell phones is that they are hazardous to use while pumping gas. The primary claim was posted on the Internet and involved a man who was pumping gas in Indonesia. Apparently, the man was using his cell phone and the gas station blew up as a result. The truth is that there is nothing powerful enough to ignite a gas station pumps as far as a cell phone is concerned. The battery on a cell phone uses the same voltage as a 12-volt that most people have in their digital cameras and the ring tone is an audio wave producing the sound of a ring tone. However, the Internet has been abuzz with false claims and unproven data saying that Shell, Exxon and other gas companies urging people not to use their cell phones at gas pumps. While it is true that there could be a possible connection between a fire and a cell phone, the evidence is simply not there and is certainly not reasonably supported.
Another myth regarding cell phone use is the cancer myth. There is no evidence to support the notion that cell phones cause or are related to causing cancer growth out of nothing. The Food and Drug Administration has admitted to a concern regarding "radio frequency energy", otherwise known as "RTF". They have issued a statement urging cell phone manufacturers to support research regarding RTF, to manufacture phones with the lowest levels of RTF possible and to keep customers up to date on the most current information in the interest of cell phone use. Nonetheless, the mythology about a possible connection continues and some people fear for cancer when that cell phone rings. Another idea behind cell phones is that they are "okay" to use while driving. This is simply not safe and not true, to say the least. Many states, like New York, have made it illegal to drive and talk without a hands free device. Other states will issue a ticket if they see someone on a cell phone while driving. Forbes Magazine released some statistics including that reaction time was down 9% by those who use cell phones while driving, and that 50% of the visual environment that is absorbed while driving was not processed at all. Some sort of distraction causes 75% of all accidents, and so the United States Highway of National Safety is urging people to put away their phones while they drive. There are risks to everything that you do in life and cell phones are no different. Make sure that you are informing yourself with correct information when you read things, especially from an unknown source. Make sure you check out the sources involved in the information and find the truth behind the mythology of cell phone dangers.

Girls- difficult to deal with
Girls are quite difficult to understand. They want us to see them, but when we do they won’t take granted. Help a girl when she is in trouble, and surely she will remember you only when she is again in trouble. The above lines said by Shakespeare are true till now. No one can find what’s there in any of the girls mind. In every case there will be some exception except this case. I guess god has created the girls just to confuse the boys and the boys to get confused by them.

Friends Forever
Friends are the greatest gifts that god has given to all of us. The blood relationship is not certain to help us in many difficult situations, but friends are those who help us without expecting anything from us. Only a lovable person can feel your silent pain will hold your hand till you become strong again. Don’t leave your lovable friend who feels your pain. Missing a good friend in life is equal to cheating the life by ourselves. So never miss any friend at any cost till your end of life. When we see our beloved one after a long gap, we want to share many thing but smile and tears are the first one we share. That’s real affection. The most touching lines written by a man to his friend “Ever you miss me, never you cry. For a drop of tear in your eyes, is a day less in my life!” Height of missing friends is when you are alone watching a gang of friends enjoying in front of you, and you remembering the past which you spent with your friends. Smile is a value to your place. Love is a value to your heart. Respect is a value to your behavior. Study is a value to your future. Friendship is a value to life. So say cheers to all our true friendships.

The hard rules..
- If the ball went into the buildings straight from the bat without pitching any where in the ground for 2 times, the the bats men is out.
- Instead of stumps we kept 2 stones with a wide of three fourth of a foot, if the ball pass through those 2 stones for a particular height the bats men is out.
- And as usual, if any one of the fielder caught the ball straight from the bat without pitching any where in the ground, then the bats men should leave off.
- The road end is the boundary line, which is nearly 50 to 60 meters away from the stumps.
